Gunsan Region Introduction
Gunsan is the proud historical site of Jinpo-Daecheop, the basis of our lives, and a valuable heritage site that will be passed down to our descendants from generation to generation. Geumgang and Geummangyeong are warmly embraced by the West Sea. Gunsan is settled in the middle of the West Sea, where fertile fields, abundant sea, and quiet mountains are harmonized. It is a high-tech modern industrial city as well as a port for international trade.
Museum of Modern History
It is a specialized regional museum with the theme of Gunsan's modern and maritime cultures. It is located in Gunsan, the city of modern history education, where visitors can experience the history and culture of Gunsan. With the concept of “the past, present, and future of Gunsan, an international trade port,” you can check out the past of Gunsan, the center of the distribution, and through relics and data, discover the history from prehistoric eras to the modern era. It allows us have an insight into the past, present, and future. To convey this theme, the contents of the exhibition are composed of ‘Life and Culture Corner’ that illuminates the history of Gunsan, the ‘Ocean Distribution Corner’ that confirms the port function of logistics distribution by geographical importance, the ‘Sea and Culture Corner’ that illuminates the culture and history of Gunsan and Gogunsan and a corner introducing the relics excavated from the seabeds near Gunsan.

Gyeongam-dong Railroad Village
As of 2013, there are about fifty houses gathered in the Gyeongam-dong Railway Village, but there are even more vacant houses. About fifteen households are living in the village. The railway is not currently operated. The construction of the Railway Village was built from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The walls are mostly painted in pastel shades of blue, purple, and yellow. The shape of the door varies, and can be made of aluminum, plank, or tin. Buildings on both sides of the alley stand side by side, and the buildings on the left and right are clearly distinct by appearance. The buildings on the right have many two-floored structures, and the buildings on the left are mainly used as toilets or warehouses.

Teddy Bear Museum
The Teddy Bear Museum is an official museum distributed by JS & F in Korea. Moving teddy bears are exhibited all over the museum. It has been decorated with the characteristics of each country/city with the concept of traveling around the world. It is an educational and interesting space where old stories, legends, and historical events are exhibited using teddy bears, naturally showing children various aspects of the world. It is also a hot place where not only families but also couples can travel around the world in Gunsan.

Saemangeum Seawall (Saemangeum Public Relations Hall)
Saemangeum, which spans Gunsan-si, Buan-gun, and Gimje-si in Jeonbuk, acquired the name Saemangeum due to the merging of the Mangyeong Plains and Gimje Plains (the nation’s largest grain areas) to create new soil. The seawall was made to harmonize the people with nature, and attracts many tourists. It has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's longest seawall. Now, it is a famous spot to watch the sunrise, to look at the night view, and to drive by.

Gunsan Modern History Museum
Gunsan Modern History Museum makes "History becomes future" its creed, and displays the aspect of old Gunsan which was the center of Marine logistics and distribution as the trade port in the past and the largest modern culture resources in the country, and shows 1,000 years of west sea distribution and the aspect of "Gunsan as the international trade port" which spreads out into the world.
Former) Joseon Bank Gunsan Branch
In 2008, it was designated as Registered Cultural Properties No. 374 The Gusan branch of the Joseon bank directed colonial economic exploitation in Japanese colonial era The Joseon bank was a representative financial facility symbolizing the colonial control and exploitation in Japanese colonial era. At that time, the banks helped Japanese businessman's advance into Korea and was used for colonial rule reinforcement and supplies exploitation related to rice export, land forced purchase, lending business, etc. And the Joseon bank played a role managing them at the peak.

Representative Food Introduction
“Since ancient times, the crab fishery has been prospering, and the catches are abundant. The crab meat is firm and has a unique odor” Due to its geographic characteristics, there are 16 islands located in Gunsan, so the diet of fishermen who ate crabs has developed into today's blue crabs. By the well-being era, fresh and milky blue crab became a local traditional food of Gunsan.
