It was built to commemorate Choi Myung-hee's great novel, “Honbul”. In the background of Samae-myeon, Namwon-si, Choi Myeong-hee unravels the intricately entangled stories of the people of the 1930s, centering on the three generations of the Maean-Lee, with accurate style and excellent sentences. “Honbul” is regarded as the greatest achievement of Korean literature in the 1990s. However, “Honbul” is actually unfinished, because Choi Myung-hee passed away in 1998 from ovarian cancer. Honbul Literature Hall consists of hanok buildings, such as an exhibition hall and a flower heart hall. In the exhibition hall, there is a diorama that embodies the scenes of Choi Myung-hee's manuscript and novel. The flower heart hall is like a shelter. There is also a love room and a numaru.

Representative Food Introduction
“Namwon’s best flavor” From long ago, the people of Namwon caught loach in rice paddies and waterways and enjoyed it as a health supplement. Chu-eo-tang, made with native loach grown in the clean and fertile soil of Namwon, is not enough to supply to restaurants outside of Namwon. So it can only be tasted in Namwon. It’s the reason why I recommend you to try chu-eo-tang when you go to Namwon.Go to Related Restaurants
