  • Okjeong Lake

    Okjeongho is a huge artificial lake created by the construction of the Seomjin River Multipurpose Dam. The island floating in the middle of the lake resembles a carp and Okjeongho is widely known today as a Carp Island. The highlights of Okjeongho are Un-am Bridge, Seomjin River Dam Water Culture Center and Guksabong Observatory. Un-am Bridge, a landmark of Imsil, was installed as a model symbolizing the five pylons and sails of a sailing ship. The night landscape lighting is attached to create a harmony between nature and artificiality, providing tourists with a special sight. At the Seomjin River Dam Water Culture Center, you can see the history of the Seomjin River Dam and the story of Okjeongho. Also, from the Guksabong Observatory, you can see Okjeongho at a distance, and the sea of clouds surrounding Okjeongho at dawn on a day when the daily temperature difference is severe.

  • Jeonbuk 119 Safety Experience Center

    Jeonbuk 119 Safety Experience Center is the nation's largest disaster comprehensive experience center, the only child safety village for infants in Korea, the world's first disaster situation mission completion experience, and a theme-type safety plaza that can be enjoyed with families. The Jeonbuk 119 Safety Experience Center consists of a Disaster Comprehensive Experience Center, a Crisis Escape Experience Center, a Children's Safety Village, and a Water Play Safety Experience Center. The Disaster Comprehensive Experience Center has a total of 11 exhibitions and experience facilities, and teaches disaster response capabilities through a story. The Crisis Escape Experience Center is the first facility in Korea that combines thrilling challenge facilities and various disaster safety facilities. The Children's Safety Village is Asia's first village-type disaster safety experience facility for infants. Lastly, the water play safety experience center is a facility that teaches how to cope with water accidents that occur frequently in the Summer.

  • Imsil Cheese Theme Park

    Imsil cheese theme park can be met the past, present and future of Imsil cheese through various facilities including cheese experience place, public information fall, dairy factory, special product market, etc. Through cheese science research center, the study for high quality cheese production is being performed.

  • Okjeongho Lake

    There is Seomjin dam passing through Gangjingyo bridge of 16km from Imsil-eup and going up 5km by turning right. Meantime, going 28km to Gui-myeon, Wanju-gun direction from Jeonju, there is a blocking dam of beautiful scenery Okjeongho lake which was famous for fishing, but was currently designated as Okjeongho conservation zone for water supply. Okjeongho with basin area 763㎢, water area of 25.5㎢ and total low-water discharge 430 million tons wets Gyehwado and Honam plain passed over the western Chilbo, Jeongeup-si which is an opposite side blocking the dam in Okjeong-ri for Seomjingang River upstream flowing into Unam-myeon, Imsil-gun area between Noryeong Mountain range. It is a multipurpose dam developing by head drop while draining water. Landscape around Unamdaegyo bridge, Byeorakbawi rock, dam is graceful, and Okjeongho lake's morning scenery rose up spray in the fall is magnificent.

  • Guksabong Peak

    The 4km long mountaintop soared like the back of knife, winding going down and soaring, is Guksabong. It has royal azalea habitat of 1.7km, so royal azalea festival is held every year.

  • Imsil Jingusaji Stone Lantern

    The true sphere limbs stone lantern was one of one which is the biggest for the stone lantern in Korea. And the finial or the topmost part of a pagoda (finial or the topmost part of a pagoda) disappeared regrettably. It was designated as 267 numbers of treasure as the stone lantern of the period of united Silla. The base placed on the octagonal pedestal was made of two stones, and a thin and elongated face was carved on each side of the octagonal pedestal, and the top and bottom were covered with heels. On top of the lotus stone, the lotus gate was carved and eight plates were carved, and the end of the stone was decorated with large earflowers. The stone is a cylindrical shape, with a drum-shaped embossed stand at the center, and the upper and lower sides of the stone are carved in a symmetrical shape. The lower and higher two-stage circular monstrosity is removed from the counterpart stone, and the side is engraved with the love of the eight single-leaf plates. Hwa Sa Stone has a rectangular burn on all eight sides. Okgaeseok carved a three-tier low-pitched monster on the lower surface, and Chu Nyeo's fall groove also has a low angle. At the end of the pavilion, a large three-linear earflower is erected and a grand yet cheerful appearance is gathered.
