- The World Masters Games were first held in Toronto, Canada in 1985, and a total of 9 events were held until 2017. Winter World Masters Games were held first in 2010.
- By continents, there are European, Pan-American, and Asia-Pacific Masters Games. In Jeollabuk-do, Korea, the 2nd Asia-Pacific Masters Games is scheduled to be held in 2023.
